TRAUMA RELEASE MOVEMENT
“The body remembers what the mind forgets. When we reconnect with our bodies, we reconnect with our power.”
Trauma Release Movement (TRM) is a body-based practice designed to release deep-seated tension, stress, and trauma stored within the muscles. Through a series of simple, guided movements, TRM activates the body’s natural neurogenic tremor response - gentle, involuntary shaking - that helps regulate the nervous system and restore a state of balance.
The body holds what the mind cannot express. When we allow it to release, we unlock deep healing, restoring balance, peace, and inner strength.
Trauma Release Movement
Trauma Release Movement is rooted in the understanding that trauma and stress are stored in the body, not just the mind. By engaging the body's natural mechanisms for release, Trauma Release Movement bypasses cognitive processing, allowing for healing beyond traditional talk therapy.

Trauma Release Movement allows the body to discharge built-up stress, promoting deep relaxation and reducing physical and emotional tension. I offer a unique delivery of TRM integrated with meditation and pranayama, to safely and more effectively manage the emotional release.

This is a gentle yet powerful practice suitable for anyone looking to release stress and reconnect with their body’s natural healing ability. Sessions are tailored to individual comfort levels and physical ability, ensuring a safe and supportive experience.

HOW IT HELPS:

-
By bypassing the need for verbal processing, TRE allows for a natural and intuitive release of stress, making it a powerful tool for holistic healing.
-
Nervous System Regulation: TRM helps shift the nervous system from a sympathetic (fight-or-flight) or dorsal vagal (shutdown/freeze) state into a regulated parasympathetic (rest-and-digest) state, promoting relaxation, safety, and emotional balance.
-
TRM downregulates the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, reducing the production of stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline, which are responsible for prolonged states of anxiety and hypervigilance.
-
Neurogenic Tremors & Evolutionary Psychology: In the wild, animals instinctively shake after stressful events to release excess energy and restore equilibrium. Humans have the same natural mechanism, but societal conditioning often suppresses it. TRM reactivates this innate response, allowing the body to complete unresolved stress cycles.
-
Neurochemical changes: TRM can shift brainwave activity toward alpha and theta states, associated with deep relaxation and emotional processing. It also stimulates the release of endorphins and oxytocin, fostering feelings of safety, well-being, and emotional resilience.
-
TRM reduces symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, and chronic stress by allowing the body to discharge excess energy and regulate the autonomic nervous system.

BENEFITS:

-
Stress & Anxiety Reduction – Calms the nervous system, lowers cortisol levels, and promotes deep relaxation.
-
Trauma & PTSD Recovery – Releases stored trauma from the body without the need for verbal processing.
-
Emotional Regulation – Supports emotional resilience by balancing the autonomic nervous system.
-
Chronic Pain & Tension Relief – Helps release deep muscular contractions, especially in the psoas muscle, which holds stress and trauma.
-
Improved Sleep & Relaxation – Encourages deep rest by shifting the body into a parasympathetic (rest-and-digest) state.
-
Burnout & Fatigue Recovery – Restores energy levels by discharging accumulated stress from the body.
-
Nervous System Regulation – Helps those with overactive or suppressed stress responses (e.g., hypervigilance or emotional numbness) find balance.
-
Enhancing Mind-Body Connection – Encourages a sense of grounding, presence, and overall well-being.

TRM is beneficial for anyone experiencing high stress, trauma-related symptoms, or seeking a deeper, body-based approach to healing.
